Zeinabou Sall board member and Social Services Officer of the Mauritanian Network for Human Rights in the US went to Washington DC on 11/16/2022 for Congressional meetings.
She met with Ohio Senator Rob Portman ' office, she also met with the office of House of Representative Jimmy Gomez, and Florida Senator Marco Rubio office.
This trip was supported by our partner Forward-US that paid for her flight ticket and hotel. At these meetings, Zeinabou talked about land grabbing issues in Mauritania, as well as statelessness, the new Arabisation law, and the necessity for TPS for Mauritania and the halting of deportations to a country full of racial discrimination and human rights abuse.
